Los Angeles police have arrested five suspects in connection with a series of residential burglaries across Los Angeles County, including incidents in Tarzana, Woodland Hills and Downey, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division said the investigation began after a string of burglaries in Tarzana and Woodland Hills in February 2026.

During the burglaries, suspects allegedly broke into homes by smashing rear sliding glass doors. Once inside, they ransacked the residences and stole jewelry, designer purses, eyeglasses and clothing, police said.

Detectives initially identified and arrested Manuel Nava and Michael Lewis in connection with the burglaries. Further investigation linked Nava, Brett Bailey, Elijah Smith and Tonice Davis to residential burglaries in Downey, according to the LAPD.

During the execution of search and arrest warrants, detectives recovered handheld radios, masks, gloves, Wi-Fi jammers, two vehicles, weapons and ammunition believed to be connected to the crimes.

Nava, 21, of Hawthorne, and Lewis, 22, of Inglewood, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, with bail set at $165,000 and $150,000, respectively.

Bailey, 18, Smith, 18, and Davis, 32, all of Los Angeles, were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, with bail set at $50,000 for Bailey and $90,000 each for Smith and Davis.

Investigators believe the suspects may be responsible for additional unreported burglaries and have released their booking photographs in hopes of identifying more victims.
