(KRON) -- An investigation is underway after a 37-year-old man was injured in a shooting Monday night, according to the Antioch Police Department.
APD said officers responded at 8:20 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of West 19th and C Streets. Police later learned the victim had been taken to a nearby hospital for a gunshot wound, and his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not yet clear.
“Antioch Police Department investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, observed suspicious activity in the area, or has surveillance footage that may assist with the investigation to come forward,” said police in news release Tuesday.
