Heavy mountain rain possible; mostly dry elsewhere

Today: Colorado is overcast but dry for your Tuesday. High temperatures for Colorado Springs will be in the low 70s. Overnight lows are still above freezing, with temps only dropping to the mid-40s. Winds stay mild for your Tuesday, but the clouds stick around until after sunset.

Tomorrow: Another day of low 70s for most of southeastern Colorado. Colorado Springs is looking at a high temperature of 72, and Pueblo 76. A slight breeze pops up after 12 p.m. because of showers and thunderstorms impacting the high country.

At 10 a.m. widespread heavy rainfall enters the southwest corner of the state. These showers and storms encompass a large portion of western Colorado throughout Wednesday evening. Some of these storms could bring over an inch of rainfall per hour, which is why flooding is a concern. A Flood Watch is in place for the southwest corner of Colorado that doesn't expire until Friday at 12 p.m. More Flood Watches and Warnings are expected to pop up through Wednesday. Snow levels are also high due to warm temperatures. Snow could fall as low as 10,000 feet in elevation.
