SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The final curtain may not be coming down on San Francisco's Bottom of the Hill after all. In a somewhat cryptic Instagram post Tuesday, the beloved Potrero Hill music venue seemed to suggest that the show will go on.
The long-running venue announced at the beginning of the year that this would be its final year in operation -- at least under its current ownership.
"We will curate one more year of great shows, enticing bands that make up our history to come back for one final play on our stage," the venue posted at the time.

But Tuesday's post appears to hint that the venue will extend its 35-year run.
"After 35 years, the original cast of Bottom of the Hill is taking one final bow!" the post read. "The venue isn't done rockin', but this marks the end of our chapter as owners."
The post, which features a graphic that reads "Ringing in a new era!" also announced an end-of-year run of shows featuring iconic surf-rock band Man or Astro-Man? and Bay Area garage rock icon, Shannon Shaw of Shannon and the Clams.
Nothing in the post explicitly confirms that the venue will continue and there are no shows listed on the club's website beyond Dec. 31. But the language and tone of the venue's Instagram post certainly suggests that the music will continue.
