Shane Steichen voices support for Daniel Jones amid turnover issues

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Colts beat the Commanders in London on Sunday, 30-13, to win their second straight game.

However, quarterback Daniel Jones’ turnover problems continued. He turned the ball over twice in the first half, one of which being a fumble on the second play of the game and he had an interception in the second quarter.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen voiced his support for his quarterback on Monday.

“I just met with him,” Steichen said. “We watched the game together, had conversations on those things. I got a ton of confidence in his ability moving forward. It’s one of those things, like, when the play is over, it’s over. We don’t need to try and make something happen there if nothing’s open in those situations and being smart with that. Like I said, I got a ton of confidence in him and I told that to him. We have a ton of confidence in you. This football team does. And I have no doubt that he’ll get it rolling.”

Jones’ seven turnovers is tied for the second most in the NFL so far this season. He has also thrown for 754 yards and three touchdowns, and got his first rushing touchdown of the year on Sunday.

The Colts will play the Steelers on the road on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
